And so, after 29 days on the road, it seems fitting that Dresden, Ontario is the last stop on our journey. It has a long history of being a final stop for visitors and travellers.
Dresden was a destination of many folks escaping slavery on the “Underground Railroad” in the 1800’s. There is an interpretive centre and the gravesite of Josiah Henson, the abolitionist who is said to have inspired the famed book “Uncle Tom’s Cabin”.
