Canadian Museum of Nature

This is Canada’s national museum of natural history and natural sciences. It started as part of the Geological Survey of Canada in the mid-1800’s.

The museum opened in Ottawa in 1912, and remains a popular tourist attraction. It has an Earth Gallery of rocks and minerals, including a moon rock from Apollo 17, and several Canadian meteorites and impact specimens.
